Electronic mail has been around for quite a while, but in the past decade it has become a primary means of communication for many people. E-mail is simply a way of transacting messages between individuals using electronic mail. Email first entered limited usage in the early 1960s, when it was first used to send files between people who were on opposite sides of the world. In recent years, though, electronic mail has grown increasingly useful as a way to communicate important or personal information between people.
