Graphics are visual artistic representations or images on any surface, including a computer screen, canvas, prints, sheet music, paper, or wood. In modern use, it usually includes a graphical representation of data, as in computer graphics, in designing and manufacturing, and in the visual arts and learning. A graphic is not an image, but a three-dimensional representation of something through the use of figures, lines, or sometimes even color. Images can be created by artists drawing them out on a piece of paper or computer-aided design (CAD) software. The process of creating images with CAD software can be complex and time consuming, which is why many businesses use the services of a graphic designer.
