Keyword research is an activity performed by search engine optimization experts to identify and study various search keywords that users enter in search engines when searching for particular goods, services or information. For example, if you were looking for a particular brand of toothpaste, you might type “brush with fluoride”, “fluoride toothpaste” or “professional grade fluoride toothpaste”. These keywords would be associated with queries made by internet users, who are seeking a product like fluoride toothpaste. The keywords searched for would have many common components that would allow search engines to categorise these terms and place them into relevant listings.
