Unlike Goldmine, however, Nimble does not run natively but instead runs in a web browser. The aim is to go beyond the scope of traditional contact management by allowing users to do so

In this post, we’re going to take a look at how well this works.

Before we dive into what Nimble can do, however, be sure to pause for a moment to ask another question: what is CRM?

Nimble CRM Pricing and Plans

The pricing structure for Nimble is pretty simple: there is only one plan available (it’s a business plan). That costs $25 per month if you pay monthly or $19 per month if you pay a year in advance.

pricing and plan
pricing and Plan

That puts it in the same order of magnitude in terms of costs as the entry-level or medium-sized business plans of leading CRM products. For example, the Salesforce Starter Plan costs $25 per user per month. Zoho’s professional plan costs $20 per user per month, and Capsule starts at $18 per month.

Agile is significantly cheaper than Keap’s starter plan, which starts at $79 per user per month. It’s also a fair bit cheaper than Hubspot, although the latter gives you a pretty strong free plan.

It is important to note that all of the above CRM products work in entirely different ways, with slightly different features and contact limits, making it difficult to provide an accurate price comparison. That said, I think it’s fair to say that Nimble is on the cheaper end of the CRM price spectrum.

Contact Management in Nimble

We start with a fundamental function of all CRM systems: contact management. With Agile, you can host up to 25,000 contacts. If you exceed this limit, you will charge an additional $10 per month and another 10,000 communications.

There is no limit to the number of contacts you can save on the system.

Importing Contacts

You can import data from a variety of sources into Nimble, including:

  • Gmail
  • Twitter
  • LinkedIn (CSV)
  • CSV
  • Outlook
  • vCard

Additionally, thanks to an integration with PieSync, you can import and sync data from an extensive range of third-party web apps, including big hitters like Mailchimp, Xero, and Getresponse.

You can mark the contacts on the go to identify the source of your contacts later.

Most users will likely first import a CSV copy of their existing database. Unfortunately, that made it necessary to include very laborious manipulation of your database so that the field names exactly matched Nimble’s required layout. Fortunately, Nimble has made the import process a lot faster, and it is now possible to quickly map areas from your CSV file to the Nimble format.

You can also choose how Nimble should overwrite and merge records during the import process. You can ask Nimble to check email addresses and website addresses for unique matches to ensure that no records are linked or incorrectly duplicated.

In addition to the standard CSV imports, you can also import some social data and link social accounts to your Nimble account. (We’ll cover all of this later in this review.)

All in all, the import process in Nimble is easy to use and robust, and the options for importing and syncing data with other apps are extensive.

Segmenting Contacts

Agile is very flexible when it comes to how you segment your data. For example, you can either apply “tags” or fill in existing fields in the database to identify different data types. Alternatively, you can create and use your custom fields for this purpose.

However, watch out for tags if you need to regularly export data directly to various other systems – as opposed to sending a column of data with the name of the title and a “True” or “False” flag nearby (to make sure you can see whether a specific tag bee set or not), Nimble offers you a collection of columns named Tag 1, Tag 2, Tag 3, and so on, all of which contain a mix of different tags.

These fields are pretty useless, in my opinion, and, as the following screenshot shows, can make segmenting your data outside of Nimble using tags tough. So you may want to create and populate custom fields in Nimble instead.

However, tags work well in Nimble – you click a title or combination of tags to view segmented data.

Searching for contacts

An essential aspect of Nimble is how you can search your contacts. You can use a variety of criteria to find connections.

For example, you can search by location, education, biography, and interest, not just name or company, which is the norm in many CRM systems.

Exporting contacts in Nimble

Exporting data to Nimble is straightforward: you select the records you want to send and click an export button. Instead of immediately downloading the exported data to a download folder. However, you will have to wait for an email to arrive with your documents.

The plus is that this way, you can access your data more securely. The downside is you might have to twist your thumbs a bit while waiting for them to arrive. That can easily disrupt the workflow, but to be fair, it’s good practice from a privacy perspective (and something that became much more critical with the introduction of GDPR privacy regulations).

As mentioned earlier, when you export data from Active for use in another tool, you need to be careful about how you classify information. You won’t generate a tremendous amount of sentiment from tags outside of Nimble due to the messy way they export.

One workaround is to use custom fields in Nimble. You can create these quickly and then fill them with the flags you choose. Of course, that makes segmenting your data a little more cumbersome in Nimble, but I think it leads to better results and data easier to migrate to other platforms or analysis tools.

Nimble’s ‘Today’ page dashboard

One handy feature to bring your attention to is the Today dashboard.

That will give you an overview of all upcoming activities, offers, and engagement opportunities (based on social media mentions). It also shows important contacts that you may want to contact or stay in touch with based on the keywords specified in the Nimble settings.

The “Today Page” is based on widgets. That means that you can arrange your data on the page as you wish and view the most critical information.

You will see the “Today” page when you log into Nimble. You can access it at any time in Nimble by clicking the Today link in the main navigation.

Getting social with your contacts

When it first launched, one of Nimble’s strong selling points was the way you could view the social media information associated with your contacts without leaving your CRM tool.

When I started using Nimble, this functionality was great. I could call up contact and, provided I connect with them on Twitter, Linkedin or Facebook, see a whole range of information about them in one place. Latest Facebook status updates, LinkedIn bios, latest tweets, etc. I was also able to see a history of all the social interactions on any of these platforms that I had with them.

For privacy reasons (and possibly competition reasons), Facebook and LinkedIn have stopped exchanging data with third-party applications, significantly reducing Nimble’s “social” functionality.

While you used to have your Facebook and LinkedIn accounts linked directly to Nimble, these platforms are where you access all of your contacts and send them messages through the Nimble interface. You can’t wait any longer.

You can still incorporate Twitter nicely into the process. And you can import data from LinkedIn via a CSV file. That gives you a reasonably good “social view” of your contacts.

Also, Nimble will surely help you discover your contact’s social profiles (if you add a touch. It scans the Internet to see if a social network accounts for). And will use the social information that is publicly available online to give you potentially useful biographies on your leads and customers wherever possible.

On the topic of contacts, let’s take a look at something that may be Nimble’s USP: the Smart Contacts app.

Nimble’s Prospector App

One of the most valuable things about Nimble is the Prospector app. That is an extension that integrates into Chrome, Safari, or Firefox (it is also available as a mobile app for Android and iOS).

Whether you’re in your inbox, on a Facebook page, or search through a range of Google search results. You can hover over a contact or company name, and the Prospector app will automatically provide as much social information as it can find about it.

The app also allows you to add that person or company to Nimble there and then (i.e., without going into the application) and update important information about them (lead source, status, etc.). You can also apply tags.

It’s more of a “big brother,” – but if used wisely and ethically, the information the app offers can be beneficial, as the following video shows.

Contact capture Nimble

There are two minor Nimble CRM features related to contact capture worth highlighting for their speed value.

The first is Nimble’s email signature capture. If you’re a Gmail user, you’ll appreciate Nimble’s ability to parse email signatures to quickly create and update contacts while you’re on an email thread.

The second is Nimble’s mobile business card scanner feature. That allows you to scan business cards in a mobile app to create contact records on the go.

Both functions can save a lot of time – thumbs up for them.

Enrichment credits

One feature recently introduced by Nimble is “Enrichment Credits.”

That allows you to visit a company’s website and use an option in the Prospector app. Access contact details for people in this company who may not be visible on the company’s website. People who showed up using this tool can be added to your Nimble contacts immediately.

Your monthly plan will give you 25 enrichment credits, and every time you search with the Prospector, you will use up a credit.

If you need more credits, they will add in increments of 100 for an additional $10 per month.

One thing to look out for with these credits is that they expire at the end of each month.

Nimble and communications history

For me, one of the best things about Nimble is how it handles communication history. As long as you use a Gmail or IMAP email account, all communications between users and contacts keep.

You go into a contact’s record, click the history tab, and hey presto. All of your emails to and from this client will display. Unlike many CRMs, Nimble doesn’t require you to provide a Dropbox address to add emails to communication history. Everything log.

Let’s say you feel uncomfortable when your teammates see specific messages. If so, you can set up Nimble so that only you can see your entire communication history. You can then unlock and unlock individual emails by simply clicking on a padlock.

The tracking of Nimble’s communications history is excellent and probably what I like most about the product.

Nimble’s integration with Google Apps and Office 365

Another powerful feature of Nimble CRM is integration with Google Apps.

Calendar synchronization is bidirectional, and bidirectional contact synchronization is also possible with the help of a tool called Pie Sync (note: this is an additional cost).

Nimble adds whatever can be found by Google Apps to the Communication History tab. That is if you go into the record of an elegant contact. In addition to checking previous email correspondence, you can also review past and upcoming meetings. In addition, you can attach files to contacts from Google Drive.

The integration with Google Apps is excellent, making Nimble an attractive CRM choice for the many companies that use Google’s suite of business products.

The Office 365 integration is also perfect. Handy apps are available for both the web and desktop versions of Outlook (as well as several other Office 365 / Microsoft apps). In addition, you can view a comprehensive history of Outlook interactions with leads and clients. You can also attach files from OneDrive to Contacts, which is also very useful.

Nimble’s ‘unified inbox.’

Uniformly. You can send and receive emails and manage tweets more or less regularly.

Your email within a CRM tool

Having access to your email in a CRM tool can be very useful because you can mainly work in one environment. Since your calendars are also there and your company database and sales pipeline, you are in theory. The hassle of switching between an email app and Nimble saves all day.

Unfortunately, the implementation of email management in Nimble could be a little better. Nimble will only show you your inbox and the items that seen. You cannot access other email folders at all. Or other than letting you send content to your Gmail archive in some way – file email. That means that you will have to switch between your email program and Nimble regularly.

Nimble says – with some right – that using the Smart Calls sidebar is the best way to get to work in one place. You can add it to your browser or Outlook for instant access to several critical Nimble functions in one setting.

While I see the logic in it, the sidebar doesn’t give you access to all of Nimble’s functionality. For me, I’d like to have a CRM workspace where I can do anything.

Group messages and mass mailouts in Nimble

Agile has a handy function for grouping messages.

Unlike tools like Mailchimp or Getresponse, your SMTP server us to send messages. That means that there is a limit to the number of emails you can send every day (100).

That is a way to send personalized messages to small groups of contacts. This functionality is pretty good – I’ve always found it personalized in a B2B sales context. In addition, text-based messages generate more engagement than graphic-intensive HTML emails.

It also gives you basic statistics on whether or not these contacts have opened your email and how often they have read your message. You can also use this data to segment your contacts and send specific follow-ups. Nimble calls this “semi-automated marketing.” But to be honest. It looks and feels more like a manual process to me!

In my opinion, team messaging is a beautiful feature in Nimble right now, but ultimately. It is not a substitute for using an appropriate email advertising tool like Mailchimp. Aweber or Getresponse – all elements necessary for the document. You can integrate it with Active (there is built-in assimilation for Mailchimp. And you can use Pie Sync to include the other two various products).

Task management

Nimble does a pretty good job of managing tasks – you can create lessons, assign them to other users, or assign them to specific contacts and deals.

I would love to see Nimble go further on this. However, it would be good if the case with Capsule’s “tracks” approach to task management would be good. You can set up several tasks that users can follow when certain things happen.

For example, when a lead reaches level X in a sales pipeline. It would be great if Nimble users could automatically give three tasks below to move them to Level Y.

Calendar management

In Nimble, you can either use the integrated calendar or, as a Google Apps or Office 365 user, access your Google calendar directly in the app.

The synchronization between these calendars and Nimble is two-way. That is very useful and means that Nimble is stealing a march on several other CRM products in the field.

Also significant is how clicking a contact’s Activities tab will display all of the meetings on your calendar that you have ever had or are planning with that person.

Sales pipelines in Nimble CRM

I like Nimble’s sales pipeline functionality, which is found under the Deals tab in Nimble.

You can use a suggested set of sales phases for each deal – or define your own (“Discovery,” “Initial Communication,” “Solution Design,” etc.) – and quickly move the sale from one phase to another.

Everything is well connected: once you’ve linked specific contacts with deals. So, for example, clicking on a contract will bring up a list of all recent communications between you and that contact, any relevant meetings, etc.

Likewise, information about the business automatically adds to your contacts. You can view your offers in either pipeline or list format. And Nimble will weigh your future earnings from these deals based on how likely they are to occur.

Additionally, Nimble can use the sales pipeline to create simple reports on who was naughty or nice in closing deals and bringing cash into the company.

Another nice feature of the Sales Pipeline functionality in Nimble is creating and using multiple pipelines. That is useful for companies with different sales cycles. Because of their customizability, sales pipelines can also start with project management in mind – i. H. You can use them to manage processes and sales.

Integrations

As mentioned earlier, Nimble instantly integrates with critical products such as G Suite and Office 365. In addition, Twitter, Wufoo, Circle Back, and Mailchimp integrations also have been incorporated. For other apps, you’ll need to use a third-party sync tool like PieSync or Zapier.

Fortunately, Nimble is working with PieSync to provide a wide range of integrations (50+) for critical business applications, including Xero, Quickbooks, Mailchimp, and Getresponse.

I haven’t tried them all, so I can’t vouch for every quality. However, the fact that these are official integrations should theoretically mean that they are of a reasonably good standard.

Interface and ease of use

The only criticism I have about it is that it is “unresponsive,” which means that using Nimble on a tablet or phone is not ideal. However, a pretty good iOS / Android app provides many critical Nimble features for users on the go.

Nimble CRM Customer Support

Nimble CRM is a NimbleCRM customer service solution that offers proactive and reactive assistance for its users. They have created an exclusive platform where clients can chat with their representatives and receive the support they need, whether through email, phone, or live video chats.

Nimble CRM has a one hundred percent satisfaction guarantee and wants you to be happy for years into the future!

Nimble CRM Alternatives

Nimble CRM alternatives are aplenty. The lower end of the scale includes Capsule and Zoho, which offer budget-friendly options for small businesses with basic needs. More sophisticated but pricier solutions include Infusionsoft and Salesforce – both have plenty to offer at various price points in terms of features available and customer service support offered by dedicated teams who know their products inside out.

If you’re starting your business journey or if you need something more customized than what these software packages can give, then maybe it’s time to find an agency that specializes in managing successful marketing campaigns from start to finish!

Conclusion

Nimble CRM has been a fantastic tool for any company. We were able to increase customer satisfaction, decrease turnover rates and minimize the time spent on administrative tasks thanks to its intuitive interface. When you want software that will make your life easier and give your team more space in their day-to-day lives, then Nimble is the way to go!
